A few things worth knowing before you subscribe.
A press that publishes stories found in the mail. Our first story follows Kate, an assistant director in 1995 Los Angeles, and Phoenix, a camera operator on the edge of her orbit. Four pages of her journal arrive in your mailbox each month.
The author. Kate, Phoenix, the production shoots, the city — all fiction. The format is real. Written by hand, printed on real paper, sent through the real mail.
Ongoing. The first arc follows Kate and Phoenix through 1995 and beyond. You’ll receive a new entry twice a month for as long as you’re subscribed.
Yes. Every subscriber receives Entry 1 as their first letter, regardless of when they subscribe. You won’t be dropped into the middle of the story.
No. Postmarked Press only exists on paper. The story was written for the format.
Yes. The story is adult romance. There are intimate scenes, written with care — not gratuitous, not pornography. Subscribers must be 18 or older.
Monthly subscription: $14.00 per month, auto-renewing until you cancel.
You’re charged $14.00 every month on the same day you subscribed. We’ll send you an email each month confirming the charge. You can cancel anytime through the Manage Subscription link in any email.
Yes. A 6-month gift is $79. A 12-month gift is $129. Gifts are one-time purchases — no surprise renewals for your recipient. After checkout, you’ll get an email where you can enter in your recipient’s details such as mailing address. Their first letter goes out on our next mailing day (1st and 15th of the month). When nearing the end of their gift subscription we’ll reach out to the recipient and ask if they’d like to subscribe and continue the story.
Anytime, through the Manage Subscription link in any email we send. Your current month’s letter still goes out; no further charges after that.
Monthly subscriptions aren’t refunded for partial months — your current cycle still ships, then no further charges. Gift subscriptions can be refunded anytime: we deduct $14 for each set of letters already mailed and refund the balance.

We mail twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th. Depending on when you subscribe, your first letter goes out with the next batch and typically arrives 3–7 business days later.
Four printed pages of Kate’s journal — two sheets, front and back — plus occasional inserts: a printed Polaroid, a returned envelope, a clipped receipt, a mixtape track list. Each mailing is hand-assembled.
The United States only, via USPS First-Class Mail. International shipping is not currently available.
Yes. Changes submitted through your Manage Subscription portal at least 5 days before our monthly mail day take effect that month; later changes apply to the following month.
